To My California Boy:

Happy Birthday!
on decembereleventhtwothousandandten
(late post because we were constantly together till now. i'm not mad.)
22 reasons why i love yur fayce:
(in no particular order)

1. You're a Mac junkie.

2. When I'm stressed and crying you hug me and tell me I'm beautiful. Then you proceed to systematically bring down every reason I give you to be stressed. It's awesome.

3. Your sense of humor is hilarious and you can always make me laugh (and when you laugh you close one eye and your shoulders shake, its adorable).

4. You love the beach as much as I do and I know we'll make it to Hawaii.

5. You'll watch girly movies with me.

6. You'll randomly pick me up/spin me around/dance/battle royale with me.

7. You're totally hot.

8. You like doing rad things like building forts.

9. Your favorite superhero is Aquaman.

10. You always do the dishes even when its not your turn.

11. Your winks.

12. You are a fantastic kisser.

13. I can talk to you about anything.

14. You always get excited to tell me new things about technology even when I have no clue what you're talking about.

15. You have such an amazingly strong testimony and are one of the hardest workers I've ever met.

16. You picked 25 for your lacrosse number because you like Christmas.

17. You're probably the only one who could ever challenge me at Harry Potter trivia (I'd still win.)

18. You get really, really upset at Utah drivers.

19. You get this look on your face when you think you're being sneaky.

20. We're so awesome together we've had multiple songs written about us. But seriously. We have.

21. You're the most chilled out person I know.

22. I love every second that I'm with you. You are my best friend and I can't wait to grow old and wrinkly (prune-y?) on our surfboards together.

I LOVE YOU!
(no pictures because blogger is being dumb...anyone else having that problem?)

Sunday Love

Sunday was pretty average.

Except for when the Bishop entered our SS class and said
"President Monson will be with us in sacrament meeting today, so can we get to our seats a little early?"

um what?

Apparently his grandson is in our ward and was blessing his baby.

Who knew!

Of course I immediately started tearing up. The spirit was so strong the whole testimony meeting.
At the end he got up and said a few words.
Made a few jokes.
And basically said, don't worry about anything. If you are doing the Lord's will, he's got your back.
Which is of course exactly what I needed to hear.

I also would like to share this poem with you.
Because I think its beautiful and paints such a fantastic picture in my mind
(I'll bet he was singing and dancing)

Morning Person
Vassar Miller

God, best at making in the morning tossed
stars and planets, singing and dancing, rolled
Saturn's rings spinning and humming, twirled the earth
so hard it coughed and spat the moon up, brilliant
bubble floating around it for good, stretched holy
hands till birds in nervous sparks flew forth from
them and beasts - lizards, big and little, apes,
lions, elephants, dogs and cats cavorting,
tumbling over themselves, dizzy with joy when
God made us in the morning too, both man
and woman, leaving Adam no time for
sleep so nimbly was Eve bouncing out of
his side till as night came everything and
everybody, growing tired, declined, sat
down in one soft descended Hallelujah.

You can't tell me that's not wonderful.

And I'll leave you with this:

us in our hats from our Christmas poppers
(just like in Harry Potter)

I feel...

content.

Right now.
This moment in time.

I feel

Peace.

I am sitting next to my favorite reading lamp.
Looking at my christmas tree.
Listening to my julesy.
Waiting for my California Boy to come home.

I feel clean.
I feel healthy.
I feel strong.
I feel beautiful.

I have so much going on, so much to get stressed about, to get done.

I don't care.

I am happy.

Weekend Recap...

of the last two months.

Wha???

I am a terrible blogger.

Well.

Its most likely because of all the

AWESOME STUFF

We have been doing these past two months.

We drove to California and stayed for a w h o l e w e e k.
It was b-e-a-utiful.

We went surfing.
And ate sushi on the beach.
And hung out with the awesome Richard's family.
And went to the same Mexican restaurant three times in the same week.

We watched non-scary Halloween related movies.
(Us = Wimps)
And ate a whole bowl of Halloween candy.

We have had movie/pizza parties on the living room floor.
Went to dinner with friends.
And had candlelit fastfood dinners.

We gathered all of our caving gear.
And drove all the way to Logan.
All the way up through the majority of Logan Canyon.
To go caving.
In a blizzard.
And we purposely pulled off the road to see if we'd get stuck.
We did.
And so we drove home.
It was hilarious.

We have celebrated Thanksgiving.
And bought our first Christmas Tree.

And maybe the most upset we have been our entire marriage
is when our Harry Potter spells app wasn't working on our iPhones
and we couldn't properly duel each other.
