pardy hardy

Yesterday I received a t-message from the one and only kelli case that said:

"Tell Trey happy 420! Hahahahahahahahah"

She knows our love for the holiday.

Except I totally forgot and wore my Mickey Mouse t-shirt.
Which is a disgrace to 4/20 and Mickey Mouse.

Last year on 4/20 we went swimming, I was tan, and wearing shorts.

This year I drank hot chocolate at work.
global warming my eye

We talked all day about how to celebrate this year, and we settled on a pizza picnic on our living room floor while watching And Now For Something Completely Different.
bouncy, bouncy.

A classy celebration for a classy holiday.

Say hello to my little friend...

The iPad.

Oh yeah.
We totally got one.

The announcement of this little baby was greatly anticipated in the Richards' household let me tell you.
("Sara! It's practically faster than your computer. It could replace your computer!")

We waited in line. Early.

This is how grumpy Trey was.

Even though for the past 3 weeks every conversation of ours went something along the lines of:
"Trey, what do you want to eat?" "You know what I really want? The iPad 2."
"Trey this is cool!" "You know what's really cool? The iPad 2."
"(insert anything I say here)" "But Sara. Think about the iPad 2."

shocked that we actually got one.

Pure Joy.

You know those days

where you just really want a diet coke?
(for the record i have been killing it without these babies for awhile)

A few days ago I was at my parents and the urge hit me.

I needed one and I needed it now.

I asked my dad if my mom had any stashed anywhere (she usually does).

She didn't, but I was in luck! He thought there might be one in the fridge downstairs.

I flew down the steps, wrenched open that little black door,

and there it was.

One can, in the middle of the shelf, nothing else near it.

The heaven's opened up, a light shone down from above and the angels opened their mouths and let out one glorious, joyful note.

It's the little things.

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

The Ugly:

Any hour before 6:00 am. 5:59 why do you even exist?

Last night's dinner consisted of tomato soup, taquitos and cheez-its. Fail.

The Bad:

Trey is the one who taught me how to iron my dress pants. Double fail.

I had Wendy's at 10:45 am this morning.

The Good:

I quit my job. It's not you Job, it's me. But...it's mostly you.
(and from seeing the aforementioned meal choices i apparently couldn't care less about the body builder lifestyle)

We are going to California in less than one. week.

Let me 'splain the awesomeness of this situation.

We did this California trip last year for Spring Break '10.

Just check out how fun it was:

Reasons why this trip will rock harder:

We are officially official and can now do like, married people stuff, yo. ;)

We are seeing Wicked.

We are either driving in Trey's car with the sweet dvd-playing stereo his super awesome wife bought him (holla!) or hitching a ride with some randoms and therefore being super thrifty.

The randoms are actually The Walkers, and they are pretty rad.

We are staying for one. whole. week.

Bring it on Spring Break 2011! Bring. It. On.

ch-ch-changes

we spent christmas with our toes in the sand with people we love
we both turned 22
i became an official college graduate
i got a new job
trey is taking the hardest classes known to man

we are going back to the beach in less than a month
we still go on lots of little dates
watch lots of movies
are super busy
laugh a lot
& are madly in love.

life is good.

yesterday in church somehow we got on the subject of boys vs. girls.
according to trey no matter what science says it will be all my fault if we have all girls.
it was agreed upon that boys are easier
and that there should at least be two girls so then they can go be dramatic together.
even so, i still want both.

me: "but all the girl stuff is cuter!"
him: "yeah. but i don't have to shoot girlfriends."

good point.
he is going to be such a good dad.
