The other day

we somehow were talking about how birth control is just putting a lot of extra hormones in your body.
(don't ask)

"Why do you take it then?"

"Do you want a child right now?"

"....kinda."

"....me too."

no plans like that of any sort right now, but at least we're on the same page.
(and sometimes I feel like Tina Fey and I'm surrounded.)

A Typical Drive Home

Trey has this thing where he likes to grab my leg, right above the knee, and laugh at how high I jump.

He did that while driving home from work.
I punched him in the arm.

"You are so exasperating!"

"I think you're using that word wrong."

"I am not."

"Does it mean sexy?"

"No."

"Then you're using it wrong."

A few weeks ago

we went camping.
We floated down the Green River and it was awesome.

Afterwards, we were at dinner with Trey's grandparents, and his grandpa had printed out a few pictures from the trip.

One of the pictures was Trey and I eating slim jim's (healthy campers is what we are), I'm in sweats, no make up, my hair is up in a pile on top of my head, and I'm making a weird face.
So basically, a normal picture of me, and I didn't think twice about it.

Later that evening Trey's sweet grandma exclaims, "Sara did you see that HORRIBLE picture of you? I told Ted that would not be your favorite picture."

Hahahahaha.
Maybe I should start worrying about my appearance more? ;)

I am...

at a loss.

I just finished this book.
I about died.

It was one of those moments where you just sit there.
Paralyzed.
By brilliance.

My arms were like lead,
I couldn't breathe, and my insides were light.

Good books make you think.
This book froze me.
My mind stopped.

I asked Trey, "How can some people be so brilliant?"
(his reply: "well, we work really hard and that's just the way we are.")

I didn't read this.
I devoured it.
Soaked up every ounce of its glory.

Whether it was 100 pages at once or 1 paragraph, I was completely in it.
Surrounded.

I want everyone to read it.
And no one.
I want to shout to every single soul to be in this story.
And I don't want anyone else to know about it.
It's one of those.
Because I am convinced that no one else will love it as fiercely as I do
or see the beauty in every syllable.

This might be over the top.
I don't care.

There is so much beauty in this world.
So many brilliant people.
Straight from God.

And words...words matter.

Haaaaave You Met

Ted?

Just kidding. His name isn't Ted. He doesn't really have a name, but sometimes I call him
El Scooterino in my mind.
the scooter duh, not Trey.

We love him. We found him abandoned on a friends' lawn, so we adopted him.

Here is one of my favorite pictures of us:
Firstly because its hilarious.
Secondly because that's how 95% of the pictures we take together look.

You may be concerned for my safety and be wondering why I am only wearing a mere bike helmet.

No worries.

El Scooterino is obviously a 1-seater,
and we are lucky when we hit 25 mph going downhill.

All the other drivers on the road love us when we ride him to In-n-Out.

Obviously.

12 Year Old Bike Dreamz

A couple saturdays ago it was warm.
And we had just re-acquired our bikes.

Obviously a ride was in order,
and we were catapulted back to the seventh grade.

We sped on over to Kneader's where we demolished their french toast,
isn't he dreamy?

then pedaled back the other direction to Target to get one of these
because all my dance company girls have them
and i wanted to be like all the super cool high schoolers.

We were weaving in and out of traffic, zooming past the sidewalkers, nothing could stop us.
With Trey having to try a trick every time an opportunity presented itself,
and me being just out of control enough that I was a danger to everyone around me,
we were those 12 year old menaces to society that old people yell at and mother's wonder who raised those little hellions.

Kids have the good life.

el Cinco de Mayo

The party started after work when going to see Fast Five in celebration of the day was suggested.

Paul Walker + Fast Cars?
Paul Walker driving the Fast Cars?

I'm so there its insane.
(brian o'conner you so fine.)

The party got better when we were almost home and Trey suddenly gasped.
"What???"
"I don't want to get your hopes up."
"What are you talk--our popcorn maker!"
"SHHH DON'T JINX IT!!"

We parked the car, leapt up to the front porch and there it was:
Our amazon.com air popper.
Popcorn is Trey's most favoritest thing.

Naturally we plugged it in right away.
Trey: "It's too bad we can't sneak this in to the theater."
Sara: "Yes we can."
"How?"
"Have you seen the bags that I have?"

**proceed to fill a gallon size ziplock with buttery salty popcorn**

"I really don't think it'll fit."
"Trey. I don't think you understand."

**bag looks totally empty its so big**

On our way to the theater some rocking out to old school Anberlin was done.
Nice.

Walking in to the theater feeling a little guilty that we hadn't done anything even remotely Mexican, it was my turn to gasp.
"Trey. We are going to see Fast Five. Fast Five. It is Cinco de Mayo."

**high fives all around**

We love holidays.
